Sam Irving
Though acting since High School, Sam only took his first step into the comedy world through the tried and tested method of being in the right place at the right time. After meeting the fledgling troupe at comedy workshops, Sam caught the improv bug, and before long was performing alongside the To Be Continued… players at the Edinburgh Fringe.
After joining the troupe officially following Fringe 2010, he spent a year juggling his comedy stage time with a degree in Chinese Language and Culture, which included a year long hiatus from the troupe, and performing in general, from the end of Fringe 2011 until the beginning of Fringe 2012. Upon his return he was thrust straight back into the fire with 3 shows at the 2012 Fringe.
For the next 3 years, Sam continued his improv performing and training with To Be Continued…, in addition to performing with fellow Edinburgh based improv troupe Impro FX. Sam regularly compered and performed spoken word at scratch nights in Edinburgh, and was heavily involved in Student Theatre at Edinburgh University.
After performing at nearly 80 improv shows in the space of 3-weeks as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 (an endeavour which he is still recovering from - a statement that will be true for sometime to come!), Sam bid a final farewell to Edinburgh and To Be Continued… for new adventures in China and further afield.
