TBC Improv Are Holding Auditions for New Members

TBC Improv Are Holding Auditions for New Members

Update: Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone the auditions planned for January and reschedule them for March. The new audition dates will now be Wednesday 11th March and Sunday 15th March. We will be contacting those who have already in touch to reschedule and will keep open applications until March. TBC Improv would like to offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused, and we look forward to meeting all the candidates in March!

Auditions for Performers!

Edinburgh's own improv comedy theatre company TBC Improv are looking for new performers to join our established company.

We are looking for performers with a strong improvisation - or similar performance - background who are keen to be part of the flourishing improv comedy scene in Scotland. As a member of TBC Improv, performers will have the opportunity to develop their improv skills, play and perform regularly with highly skilled performers, and have direct input to shows, workshops and further company activity. This is a fantastic opportunity for any actors wishing to improve and explore their improv skills, as well as regular opportunities for Scottish-based improvisers, including taking part in Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2020. All performances are paid.

Joining the group will involve attending regular workshop rehearsals, to be arranged around availability, so that new members can develop alongside existing company members, and everyone can play and skill-share together.

Workshop auditions will be held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 11th (7:30 - 9:30pm) and Sunday 15th March (2 - 4pm), with callbacks the following week.

To apply, please drop us an email with the following:

  • Headshot and performance CV (if you have them)
  • Preferred audition date - 11th or 15th March 2020
  • Covering letter outlining: your improv and performance experience; your interest in joining TBC Improv and your performance goals for the future; what skills and qualities you think you could bring to the company.

We look forward to not only hearing from, and performing some fun improv comedy, with you!

TBC Improv Workshops - Covid-19 Update

In line with recent government guidelines and in response to the current pandemic, TBC Improv have made the difficult decision to cancel the Spring 2020 Workshops Term. We are very sorry for those looking forward to taking a course with us, and trust you understand why we have felt this was the best decision. We are not sure when classes will resume, but will ensure to let everyone know as soon as possible and we look forward to sharing the joy of improvisational comedy with you all again.

Improv is a team performance, where the group must work together and support each other to create something wonderful. In these uncertain times, we feel that it's more important than ever to carry that spirit off-stage as well as on.

Stay Safe.
