Introduction to Improv (101)
City Cafe - 29 June 2011 (7:30pm)
Learn the core skills of improv (for anyone!)
This one is for the actors looking to add improv skills to their repertoire. The people wanting to develop their public speaking skills. For everyone who ever watched improv comedy and thought "I'd like to give that a try". This is for the people just wanting to be comfortable not knowing what'll happen next!
Whoever you are, whatever your background, if you're wanting to learn the skills of improv from the start and to be left with a solid grounding in improv, then this is the course for you.
Over 8-weeks, discover - through the supportive, collaborative process we call improv performance - how to create stories, characters and ideas to captivate an audience right before their eyes. Develop those public speaking skills to allow easier and more natural dialogs with your audience. Learn how to relish the opportunity to embrace the unexpected!
