The TBC Improv About - Gregor Davidson

TBC Improv Player (2015-present)

Gregor hails from Musselburgh, Scotland’s ‘Honest Toun'. He first discovered improvisation as a fresh-faced member of Lyceum Youth Theatre. Since then, he’s trained at Edinburgh’s Telford College (HNC Acting and Performance), The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Foundation Course) and The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (BA (Hons) Acting). Having spent four years in London, Gregor returned to the land of his ancestors in 2014 to seek his fortune. He is a professional actor based in Leith.

Gregor recently launched 'Theatre Techno', a company specialising in immersive, site-specific theatrical events. The company's enormously popular debut, 'Sports Day', was played with gusto at several festivals throughout summer 2015, inspiring people of all ages to achieve sporting excellence.

Gregor is also a DJ, performing under the alias 'Broken Sunglasses', and is a founding member of legendary Edinburgh club night 'Animal Hospital'. He is currently attempting to distance himself from his career as 70s and 80s DJ ‘Funkle Gregoir’, having spent two years funding his way through drama school playing at a trendy Oxford Street nightclub.

Improvised comedy is the perfect outlet for Gregor’s passion for puns, addiction to alliteration, and delight in double entendre. He is extremely excited to be joining The TBC Improv Players and feverishly looks forward to some barry banter whilst crafting classical comedy.
